OK - here are some pics of the fabric I have. What do you think? Sorry for the bad lighting. The stripe runs the fabric length. The repeat is 23-3/4" inch in each stripe. The floral stripe is 6" wide and the leafy one is 4".

Leafy stripe is 4"

I think that it would work well, I would cut the strips with the strip lengthwise, there is someone else that is using a stripe and if you go back you will see how some of hers look as she posted pictures a page or two or more,

I love the striped fabric with the roses - can't wait to see it cut and the cabins in the trees is awesome! Here are a few more of my blocks cut. I still cannot begin to imagine how to put these blocks together though. Going to work on the cat quilt now until Monday.

Happy cutting everyone.

Sorry I take awful pictures at night

Oh look at all the wonderful blocks that are coming out!! CB I think you have successfully hooked them all girlfriend! ;) ;) I am looking in here every chance I get but our Oklahoma weather has sure put a damper on me joining in. Maybe this weekend I can catch up with everyone.

And I just gotta say it again, all the blocks are looking BEAUTIFUL!!!

this has a way of snaggin a lot of people, and it is simple to boot, no pattern required, so you can do it on a whim

I'm sorry, I'm confused. Should I cut on the 23 3/4" repeat, stack and then turn the fabric, make sure the repeats and stripes line up from the cut edge and then cut with the stripe?

Bailey,
I just love the fabric you chose and the hex's are really gorgeous. The blocks you've shown are really very different. How many hexagons did you cut (stacks of 6)?

I was originally doing something similar to the black, the only thing looking at it you will get some blocks that look a lot alike, I like the red but you need to make sure that your cuts are staggered so that you don't end up with a lot of pieces similar.
