Is wondering how everyonce cutting is going?

How do you sew all the triangles, then how do you sew blocks together?? Or am I ahead of the instructions.

I am so happy to this topic is still going, and I am hoping that means I can start a OBW here.

I am working on a test OBW, which I will post on the other thread. I am now almost ready to start. I got this fabric on sale which is why it looks like that :) I think I know where to cut. What I don't know it what size. What would you recommend for this fabric.

I don't really like this fabric, but I love the colors in it, do you think it will work?

I have 6 of these repeats

You can absolutely start it here. And I love your trial one!

I think the fabric would work well. Size wise I would pick one of the medium flowers and measure it and go about 1/4-1/2 inch bigger for your strips.

I have no idea what I did or didn't do, but I am not giving up. Does anybody have an idea of what the hoot happened here? Please don't worry about hurting my feelings, I really want to learn this!

It looks like you used a 45 degree ruler instead of a 60 degree ruler...

Here are some of my blocks, all ready to sew. I plan to try harder to get my points to match this time.

I cut them three inches because it was the only mark on my ruler. They are really small!

They are looking awesome!

CB, I plan on starting a small one this weekend. I had cut a stack & whack years ago and do not have it put tog. but this seems to sew tog. so much easier than the diamond s&w. I have the other half of that length of fabric uncut, so will use it to tiptoe thru the hexagons. It is the only fabric that I have that is not washed after bringing home. lol After seeing all these obw blocks, I am hooked. I have the OBW 1st book I borrowed fm. a friend. One question...someone asked would it be better to cut off the tips to make the blocks easier to sew tog. I did not see a reply but have not gotten to the sewing thread yet. My juki F600 does not have a single hole throat plate and I'm afraid it will eat the tips.
