I made McKenna Ryan's pattern "Beach Bums" this year for son and DIL's guest bedroom. That room has a gorgeous aqua and pale green comforter on the bed. Their other guest bed has a co forter with moose and other things to remind you of Colorado. I thought maybe to make another wall hanging to go in that bedroom. They already have the table runner and 6 placemats to remind them of Colorado. They lived there for a few years before moving back to NC. I have other requests fro other people so I will not mention it just yet,

Please let me know if that works. I have so many UFOs (WIPs) I have always been afraid to count them. Maybe writing it down will help??

I'm with you. I have decided the reason I have so many UFOs is because I hate getting the backs ready. I iron this part and move on and the first part gets wrinkled again. Sigh. I now have a machine quilting frame and will try the hint somebody on here gave me. She puts the back on the frame, lightly sprays it with water and lets it dry. She says it works great.

I have 7 tops to be readied for quilting. Since standing for any period of time is difficult now, I may get someone else to sandwich them and find a LA'er to do them.

I found another UFO, actually, I bought enough of this fabric for two queen sized quilts. But I put it away when I discovered that I had sewed some of the blocks upside down. The row on the right is not sewed on yet so I can turn it around and put it where it belongs. But some of the little blocks, not the layer cake snowballs, are backwards as far as color. Can you see that? Should I take it apart and fix it? Or does it look random like it was supposed to be random?

No, KquiltyKathy, the list has not helped as I am still finding more. This last one I have found is fixable I think.

Ladies and gentlemen, I can tell you it really does help to have this list in plain sight in your sewing area where you are reminded of your current projects and UFO’s. I got about 85% of my 2017 goals done so the first one on my 2018 list is my Gypsy Wife project...it’s about 3/4’s of the way done.

In 2017 I also started adding a few non-quilting goals at the bottom of my poster board...like organizing my recipes. (Ps...I have kept all of the previous year’s list of goals as a reminder of my accomplishments)

Thanks for the heads up. I am planning something similar for next year and I also plan to join the 2018 UFO thread. This is the 2017 Thread

Yes take it apart and fix it. This one is worth it for aesthetic reasons plus you are not too far done. Very cute battle Axe.
