The 1st thing I saw was the bikini clad lady in the bowling pin field :D

And k, whatever you paid for it, yup....you seem to have gotten your money's worth! :D :D

kwhite 06-05-2009 04:34 AM

It was cheap at twice the price I assure you.

Ok here is my Ugly fabric only I laugh every time I look at it. I can't remember why I bought it but when I did I got about 5 yards of it. :) :) :)

sandpat 06-05-2009 05:18 AM

5 Yrds??????? What were you thinking of making with it???? It would make a GREAT beach tote though!!!

Ninnie 06-05-2009 05:58 AM

okie, I love that material!!!

It would look good cut up in a scrap quilt!

Ninnie

Looks like something my mother would put on her dining room table.

gaigai 06-05-2009 06:21 AM

If the other one was Picasso Puke, this one is Picasso Trippin'. And I don't mean on a carpet! Unless it's a magic carpet with Timothy Leary!

k3n 06-05-2009 06:28 AM

I see it as a beach sarong! Just hem it then wrap it round yourself!

Do we get to go for a magic carpet ride?

See, I had no problem with your fabric, bc you did not go looking for something to be so 'thought provoking', lol!
and your going to play it down.
I do stuff, that comes across differently to others...esp. things I say , and then they bust out laughing! and I'm like whaaat????

I warned my daughter, what kind of to expect, without telling her, before showing her the fabric...and being very logical...she said she could see what I saw, but, that it looked like strawberries and bowling pins.
I don't quite see the woman, but I could see two ppl, with their heads, romantically touching, over a heart, on top of a bowling pin...
bowling lovers?

is the heart, the bikini bottom? think I saw her belly button, or where it goes, and the top...not really a head, or legs...hmmm, wonder what the designer was really thinking?

Debra Mc 06-05-2009 07:57 AM

Okie3 that is so neat. It woul;d be so pretty made with the machine embroidered deco lizards pattern that I have. You could cut squares of it & embroider the lizards on black. A little boy would love it. The Turning Twenty pattern would be perfect. I like it.

Hey, if anyone has ugly fabric to spare, I'm open! I'm thinking a crazy quilt(with crazy fabric)

If the pattern repeats often enough, this might make a nice kaleidascope quilt. Lots of intermingled, bright colors.

Mine would call them blue. She use to say Redd Foxx made blue records. That is what they called them at the time. The flag one is pure hatred to everyone. Do they sell the wiener fabric in Playboy or Penthouse?

I was surprised myself...espec when my kid thumbed thru the mag while I was driving and I had to answer questions! Who would have thought?!!
'Ditto' for me too!

I agree - if you did it the stacknwhack way using hexagons then you'd need 6 repeats, or twelve if the repeat was less than 12". Either way, with 5 yards you've got plenty! :D It would only really work if those motifs are around 3" or bigger though - it's hard to tell from your pic! :D

Chris! I think you should make yourself a pair of shorts! I think you'd look really cute! lol

Now I know what the fabric reminds me of--those crazy prints in muscle pants.

there are muscles and there are muscles.

Haven't looked at this since May. The picture is upside down. Look at it again. It is 2 heads coming out of one body. They have green hair, eyes, mouth & nose. Maybe it martian.

I just happened to see this fabric when someone posted a site where I could find oriental fabric, so I had to search out this thread. :D

This fabric is African, and it's two people embracing. I think someone originally said they thought that is what the fabric looked like.
