I'm in! Finished 2 customer quilts today, which gets me all up to date again. So that means the weekend is MINE! Now I'm off to my sewing room to figure out what's on the schedule. I'm already caught up on my 3 guild mysteries for the month, so I'll have to hunt up something else to do. Packing for my upcoming retreat might be step 1.

love all the pictures and wish I could be "in"--all day tomorrow I will be the A/V person (the demo camera and projector) for a workshop presenter for our guild on using domestic machine to quilt (I long arm and know how to quilt on DSM so will just take some embroidery) and then Sunday DH and I will go after church to city to try to figure a flooring solution for our basement. We ripped out carpet due to some wet spots about a month ago and the furniture is still piled up in the center with stuff stacked all over. I long arm down there and need to be working, but just drives me to distraction to see that mess! Wish me luck!

@ midwife: your quilt is fantastic! @ sewbizgirl: great quilt, love your label.
@ tsc: I don't know what to expect with this class. But, just found out I need to bring a 58" x 30" batting and backing. |
I too would love to see what you do with the rulers. I have them but haven't used them yet. I pieced two children's charity work quilts today. Tomorrow I'll be quilting with a couple different friends, working on some ufos. Love seeing and reading about what everyone is working on.

I'm in again this weekend. I plan to finish my sewing room organization. 1. Then quilt my scarecrow wallhanging =UFO project. 2. Take 2 quilt tops to long arm quilter. 3. Then quilt 2 table runners UFO. 4. Catch up on temp quilt. 5. Cut out 6 blocks for 2 different QAL's. 6. Cut out more 2.5" blocks for swap. 6. Finish 2 very small w/h. That should keep me busy for 4 days. If not, I will finish these project on our next VQA.
Pics of projects looks great that I've seen on here. I'm looking forward to seeing them done. |

I'm working on a sunset themed quilt, probably for hurricane relief.

I've started making my sister's 50th b'day gift--a log cabin throw--(twin almost??). Four blocks done and on design wall. Having fun! |
tallchick--I'm gobsmacked! Your quilt is like one huge piece of eye candy. I hope you keep it for your guest room and show off your quilting chops.
Macy--you're certainly ambitious this weekend. Sorry about the date with the seam ripper. I've gotten buddy-buddy with mine in the past 3 hours. Stupid stuff/zoning out. Midwife: I love the modern design and your colors. Oh, and the back! I enjoy pieced backs for extra interest. Why be plain when you can jazz it up, right? :O NZ--Looks like you're set and ready to go. I know what you mean about working w/ colors that aren't really "you." That's what I'm experiencing w/ my current project, but my sis will love it. Kelly--your sunshine quilt will bring much needed sunshine to a hurricane survivor. Good job. |
Beautiful quilts, Kelly and Zozee!

For the last 2 days, have had a quilt marathon with a friend. Finished what I planned and couldn't get inspired today. Just too tired. We had a woderful lunch (she inspires me to eat my vegetables). She had finished what she'd planned, so we called it quits. Then I took a nap. Finished reading a book, took a bath and waiting for hubby.
Tomorrow, I'll get a QOV on the longarm, quilt it and take it the next person for binding. Sunday, plan to mount the quilt I finished quilting. Hope to quilt what I'd pieced these last 2 days. |
