It's 7am on Saturday now, I'm feeling a little better but the constant rain today will no doubt just bring back the blahs. There's two times a year that I just can't stand, from winter to spring and from summer to fall. My migraines are mostly triggered by the weather, so I'm in bed a lot during the season changes.

Thank you, I just grabbed a picture off the Internet and studied it until I had a rough idea of how to do it and then just did it. I'm sure that I made a ton of mistakes versus what the pattern called for, I tried to get it but Bluprint just wouldn't take my paypal card, so I sewed my interpretation of it. I originally thought soft florals would look beautiful, but then I realized that this is going to get a lot of use, so I went with stronger colors to combat dust, oil from my hands, etc. I still may do one with the florals, though, lol.

Working on a matching pressing pad this morning, I use a mini-iron to do my finger pressing and I'm getting tired of using scraps of fabric over a hand towel. I'm not quite there yet to work on my hexies, this will at least keep the sewing machine busy and I can knock this out in a couple hours. I'll post a pic when I'm done.

I don't know if this counts, but I finished longarming a quilt for my BFF ( Sesame Street theme for her grandson , 18 months old. He can hardly contain himself when Elmo appears on the screen!) So, I gave that to her last night to trim and bind. Another friend had a beautiful stack and whack OBW that she completed in a class years ago, she had backing, binding top ready to go and then moved so it's been bagged up. I plan on spending a lot of time sewing this weekend and probably for the next couple of weeks.

Railroadersbrat-Love your tool organizer that your made. Looks like it will be very helpful to find everything. Sorry to hear you are sick and it sounds like what I have been battling since January. Hope you get better soon and that every day from now on you are better.
I am working on a bow tie quilt with Christmas fabrics I wanted to use up.

Binding and binge watching some movies! Got lots of binding to do before the 3 quilts come back in 2 weeks from LAQ.

I'm longarming today, I have 2 tops to get finished. One is a QOV. I had a visitor in my quilting studio yesterday, I thought I'd share that photo as well!

I have three projects I started last autumn I want to work on and set aside to chauffer my brother to his cancer treatments and appointments with doctors. Wowser! I had no idea the amount of appointments that takes. But, worth ever moment.
Recently I finished a couple for a charity auction items two weeks ago and they sold very well, happily. But now, it is back to the projects on hand. A wiener dog quilt and a backpack made with custom fabrics I paid far too much for. LOL! I believe it was a Studio Kat designed backpack. See, so long ago I am losing my memory as to who designed it. What a blonde. ( No offense to anyone else if you are blonde too.) There are other projects I have planned, but, I will not cut one more thing until these are finished, I swear! I guess my mind has been in a swirl since finding out about my brother's cancer.
It is onward and upward from here. I pledge to get to it!

Great fun to see what everyone is working on!

I'm still working on the Helen Godden 2017 BOM. It's one where you paint the individual blocks, then back them with batting and quilt them before assembling them with sashing into a top which is then sandwiched and lightly quilted. Anyway- today so far I've gotten block 12 quilted and block 13 painted, sandwiched and ready for quilting. All that's left is to paint and quilt block 14 and the large central part of the quilt. Then I have to put it away until next month so I can work on things that have deadlines LOL! Taking a break to read QB before working some more. I really need to get my UFO off the design wall and do some detail quilting so I can get it done...and there's a finished quilt that needs a hanging sleeve and label... and one of the collaborative pieces that DH and I are doing together...Here's some pics of the BOM. These 6 are the ones I did yesterday and today.

Well this certainly took longer than I expected. It is a twin sized charity quilt top. The pattern is 16 patch and pinwheels. I am very glad to have it out from under my needle. Time to start something new.

Well I have the four diamond rects borders pieced. I’m waiting to hear back from a friend who’s double checking my calculations for the inner border. I have just enough fabric left so want to make sure I cut it correctly!
