I too had read anearlier thread about Frixion pens and thought, if I ever get back to Clarksburg, I am going to get some of those. So glad you gave us a heads-up on this. Yes, if something is too good to be true, it most likely is.

Don't tell my kids! They'll think it better than disappearing ink.

These pens have saved my life. They are wonderful and I love them. I am working on an applique quilt. I trace the pattern directly onto the block using a light box. That way I know how to place the pieces. Then I trace each piece with each different fabric and do the applique. Having the pattern already traced onto the backing block fabric is almost more helpful than the tracing of the shape. I love them and don't know what I would do with out them now. My lines show a LOT as things move around - and I just iron everything and voila!

Just keep in mind-even though you can't see the lines, the ink is obviously still on there if it will show up in cold temps. I wonder what that ink being on the fabric constantly might do to the fibers. Not a chance I want to take, personally.

I like them, too. I don't plan on freezing my quilt.

No, it doesn't wash out. As evidenced by the person who washed and scrubbed and still the marks showed up after it was put in the cold. Even if you never freeze your quilts (doesn't everyone?? LOL) it is still there, you just can't see it.
