You go girl! What do they know anyway. Probably jealous, wishing they knew how to quilt.

Nancy, there is a terrific group right here on the Board. There are several new members who are just starting out on their journeys of creating their Baby Janes. I am still hand quilting mine. Finished the top last year. Started her in 1997. No, I didn't work all that time on her. :-)

You enjoy doing your quilting while you wait, I have done that also when I have gone to hospital with friends, but I got a lot of compliments. I rather do that then aft to listen to phone various rings and people chatting on phones. You need quite work in a hospital. It will be something special to show the little one when it is all over.

I need to get back to mine. I print the designs out and then use the templates to cut the little pieces, one square at a time. I handpieced all that I have done and plan to even hand quilt this quilt. This is my heirloom quilt that I want to finish for my kids to hand down to their kids. But alas, it is on the top shelf in the sewing room waiting for me to finish. I think I have about 120 square done or almost all the squares. I don't plan to do the triangles around the border and I want to sash with black fabric so the squares will stand out. Guess, I'll get it down and work on it some now that I hear someone else had taken the plunge. Keep us posted as to your progress.

Love the fun of making these little squares.

I used to take crocheting where ever I went even parties and I would finish off doll clothes before I went home. People would come to see how far I got. My DH complained about my taking it but I need to do something with my hands all the time.
