WOW, why didn't I think of that? I love that one.

OK, your 2 strips are folded in half, wrong sides together, pressed. 2 inches wide.

Stack them together so there are 4 raw edges on your right.

Sew them together through the 4 raw edges.

Turn the seam & you'll see your new binding.

Just grab some scraps & you'll see it happen. It's hard to
imagine but happens nicely in your hands. I love to have
a wavy edge by using a scallop stitch.

Please let me know how this works for you.

When I was a wannabe quilter, I just couldn't get into cutting and sewing all those little pieces together...then I discovered paper piecing and fell in love! I get the look and accuracy of a pieced quilt and still keep my sanity....AND its fun!

I use snappy hair clips to hold my binding on while sewing instead of pins. Works similar to binder clips but I think it is easier to move around ...

Debbie, I'll stay with you until you have a binding. Please
experiment & let me know how you're doing. Shirl

that no one is perfect, only GOD and that if they are small mistakes (horse riding by at fast spee) not to worry so much, and enjoy making my quilt

Measure once, measure twice, then measure once again.
Recognize that perfection isn't the goal. Stop beating myself for not being perfect. Recipients rarely spend time tryng to count the mistakes they can find.

Starting with the needle DOWN! and locking the stitch at the beginning and end of stitching run. I make sure all my students learn this lesson well!

And I fought this too until I had it in my hands.
It's a project of the hands, not of the mind.
Just go through the steps & your hands will teach your mind.
I keep a small model so I can remember what I did.
I am so dingy!

This method is for a scalloped edge, it leaves a seam in
the roll of your binding.

God Bless, Good Luck, please share your troubles and success.
