Me, too. It sures makes a difference. I can sit comfortably for hours sewing or on the quilting board.

And it feels so good after using a ladderback chair for tooooo long :D

I bet if you sold one or two lap quilts, you'd have plenty of $$$ for a nice office chair from Walmart, or any office supply store.
The is a lesson I learned years ago as a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. We were always told to never worry about not having money for something we wanted "just figure out how much you have to sell to get the amount you need, then do it"
yeah, right!!!!!!!!!!!.... LOL
You could always drop a hint to family members (they could chip in and buy you one, Mother's Day in a few week)

Rolling office chair and I bought a nice mesh back support at the Dollar Store! LOVE IT!

Mine is an antique sewing bench that my MIL recovered 40 years ago. Since I rarely sit for long (back problems) it fills the bill nicely and slips conveniently right under my sewing desk when I'm done for the day (did I mention that it probably only weighs a few pounds - easy to move).

I use a mesh office chair with lumbar support that we found at Staples. Last one on clearance and floor sample; paid $30. Very happy with it. Didn't keep the arms on it so I could swivel easily from machine to ironing board.

I love, love, love my chair from Ergonomic Advantage, called the Perfect Sewing Chair. It has multiple adjustments, including one that can be adjusted to support your back as you lean forward to sew. I'm planning to buy a second one for computer use.

I use a stool that goes up and down, but would a back support be better. I find that after sitting awhile, my back burns so bad, I have to quit. Any suggestions for this. Thanks -- J>
