Two have gone to my DS. One is an incomplete couch quilt for me. Another is in the works for my BIL as a wedding gift. A couple were wall hangings I gave as prezzie. One went to my niece.

I don't have a photo album yet but I load pictures of them to my computer. I remember who gets what so some day I can print them out.

Most of my sewing is french hand sewing by machine, heirloom style clothing for my girls so most are saved. My first quilt was given away to a charity. My second quilt "Jane" is half way done, she matches my antique picnic basket and is looking forward to life as a beach bum. (we are moving to Virginia Beach in December) My future quilts are for my kids, my nieces, and for my linen closet, to save for winter. When you have a 100 year old farm house it gets drafty.

Sold some, but never get what my time is worth. Mainly, I keep them or give away as gifts.

I have a single bed piled high with completed quilts, lap quilts, wallhangings, tablerunners, dolls quilts. I make a few charity quilts for raffles and give away an occasional one to friends. I hope to one day sell some online but quite a few I can't bear to part with.

I give them away. A friend at work said she would pay me if I made one for her baby. I said no...........but I would give her one. She didn't know I had already started one for him. She held off decorating the babys room til she had the quilt and decorated around it. Made my day.

I kept the first dozen that I made. After that, all have been given away. I feel blessed that I am able to give them to others.

My bible study teacher wanted to commission me to make two quilts for her grandaughters. I told her no, I would just give them to her. She wouldn't take them. I told her to give a donation to Airedale Rescue rather than pay me. She did. That was good.

You just sit down and make something for you and your DH. He will love it because you made it. How could he not! and then you will be on your way to making many more. Go to your local quilt shop and sign up for a beginner class. I have been quilting for going on 9 years and can't believe how far I have come and how much I have learned! Just choose something relatively easy, like all squares and rectangles. I love my first quilt, even though I learn more with each quilt. You'll do just fine. All the best.
