My DH weaves strips of it on a loom. It will mke a great rug.

Cut it in strips and crochet to make rugs, they last forever.

My Girl Scouts made easy quilts out of them and used them camping. They wash and dry quickly and last forever. a friend of mine weaves rag rugs and says double knit fabric is as durable as demin.

years ago when poly double knit was popular I made balls out of them - The pentagon shape makes a ball. Stuffed them with poly batting and gave them to children. Soft, washable and make great toys.

They really make tough quilts ... Make a few to donate....

I have 3 made of the poly knits--2 were made by my MIL before the died. Both were backed with sheets, tied and fairly
light. I also have one that I paid $1 for at a garage, King size--4" squares on both sides AND quilted. That one is soooo heavy. We do use it on our beds in the winter but we also like to camp in the fall. The Mountains in Wy are pretty cold that time of the year, so it's terrific for that! All 5 of our kids, their spouses and g-kids camp so I have been toying with the idea of "camping quilts" made of the poly.

I put mine in a yard sale and got rid of it. My SIL stil makes quilts out of it. But, not me. I hate trying to quilt through that stuff!!

If you don't like it, then don't use it. I suggest donating to Goodwill or Salvation Army. Someone else will think it is lovely.

I belong to a group that makes lap robes for the nursing homes. I have also made shawls with it. Just cut out a large square, fold in half and fringe the ends. Remember, many people in nursing homes never get gifts of any kind. I suggest you place an add on craigslist (it won't cost anything) and give it to group who will put it to good use. It is getting harder and harder for our group to find it. Wish I lived close to you!

My church makes charity quilts with it when it is donated to us.
