I have the Husqvarna Viking 116. Love it, love it, love it! Sews like a dream. It's very basic, I'm also upgrading to a
Husqvarna Embroidery machine. It's on lay-away at my LQS where I orininally purchased my Viking. I'm so excited to finally be able to embroider appliques.

I have Singer treadle that needs work. It had been converted by my dad and now needs a new treadle foot, belt, and whatever else to go back to human power. I have a Janome 1600p. Don't ask me anything about it, I've only had it for six hours. I have a Viking basic machine, 2 New Home 4018's that have been real workhorses for me. That's it. Nothing fancy.

I have an industrial Pffaf that I bought from the sewing factory I worked for, only paid 25.00 for it. Have a Montgomery Ward my DH bought new in 1978,still runs like a top.I have an old Morse I gave 3.00 for at a yard sale.I have an old Singer a friend gave me.I also have a Singer portable I got at a yard sale for 20.00.I have two featherweights one is a 1939 I gave 35.00 for and a newer featherweight my Aunt gave me.And I have used all of then at one time or another.So you don't have to have a lot of money in them if you know where to look. I am actually going Monday to pick up 3 treadles for 50.00 a piece, now you can't beat that with a stick,and he is giving me an old Victrola.

I have an older (bought in 85) singer #6233, a babylock Espire (ESP) and just resently bought a babylock Crown Jewel and a babylock Sophia 2 as a package deal.

I have a Kenmore Sewing machine. I had one for almost 40 yrs. and had problems with the bobbin. Fixed it and went ok for a short time and then did it again. Thread got tangled up underneath the fabric. also sometimes it would almost freeze up. I purchased a Singer and returned it as did not like it at all. When I returned it they said they had a lot of returns for the Singers recently. I went to Sears and purchased another Kenmore and loved it !!! Feed dog drops down and can hit button for needle to end up down in fabric when you stop plus auto threader etc. It is great.

I have two Bernina's a 730 and 830. I love them and I don't want any other machine. I used the Bernina 18 month same as cash. It helps to be able to afford the machines.

I have several Pfaff's and I love them all. I can't afford a new one, but I wouldn't give ups my "old" ones!

I have a Bernina Vertuosa 153 Quilter's Edition, I've had it over 10 years. Knock wood never had a lick of problems with it. Take it in to be cleaned about once a year. That's about it. Love, love, love it.

my take to classes machine is a Baby Lock Pro Line.

One 1957 Singer straight stitch black head in a cabinet. A late 1800's Wheeler Wilson Treddle,
One early 1980's Montgomery Ward 14 stitch, one newer on Babylock Quilters Choice 1 1/2 years old and love them all. All but one works. The Singer needs repair which will be done this Spring.

I so love my 7700...the increased harp size makes FMQ a dream! Great stitches, etc...

I have a bernina 1008 (very "vanilla" machine but it works well for basic stitching). I just traded in a Janome Memory Craft 200 and purchased a "gently used" Janome 11000. It has embroidery, sewing and quilting capabilities. I got it for a steal and I'm thrilled with it :)

A LOT! 9- 221"s including a centennial, a red s, one of the first 1933 edition, one of the first run after WW2, and a rare 1939 with the decal on the arm vs light. All my 221 machines are in near perfect condition. 1- 201, 2- 15-91, 1- 401, 1-301, 1- 500, 1- 127 (AllSinger), 1 Brother vX 970, 1 Brother innovis 1250D embroidery machine, 1 Brother Nouvelle 1500s quilting machine, 1 Pfaff serger. Have all I want and no I don't want anthing other than these. In fact I need to downsize my collection.:)

I wish Bernina wouldn't renumber their machines. I have a Bernina 830 - before the electronic ones. It's over 20 years old. I'd like to upgrade to a Janome MC 6500, 6600, or Horizon. I'm afraid to look at the prices, or even the higher models of Bernina.

I have a 40 year old Kenmore, still working and two Bernina's 180 and 440.

I have a Bernina Artista 200. It is about 10 years old. It was my "dream machine". I also have a Singer Featherweight. I love both machines. I would like a Bernina 830; but at my age, I do not think I really need it.

That is the very reason to buy it!! You deserve it! Might as well enjoy life. Of course the main disadvantage of that machine is the price, so it is a matter of what your budget can handle. When I was working I kept putting money in a sewing machine savings account for years that was just for me for whatever TOL machine I wanted for my 70th birthday. So I bought myself the Brother Quattro (first the Duetta then traded it in for the Quattro less than a year later)
Everyone falls in love with different machines, the Bernina 830 had also just been released, was so very tempting but I loved the Quattro more.

I have a Bernina Activa 230 Patchwork Edition - It is a great machine. I have had it for just over a year and I love it. My techie self wants to upgrade to another machine but my budget says no way.

I have a Babylock Ellegante sewing/embroidery machine and love it!

Up until 15 years ago I only ever had one machine at a time. I had three Singers previous to owing my first Janome MC6000 which my husband purchased as a Birthday gift in 1984. I kept this machine until five years ago. I guess I almost wore it out. My husband bought me my first embroidery machine, a MC9000 in 1996 for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and he bought me the Janome MC10000 in 2001 for our 35th. I loved the MC10000 so much that I traded my MC9000 on another. I gave one of the MC10000's to my daughter and replaced it with the Brother Quattro 6000D. In between these machines I got the Brother PR620 which is a multi needle embroidery machine, also a Janome 6500P and the Little Gem, which I take to Quilting days. I love the ease of use of all these machines. This year my husband gave me the Janome MC7700 Horizon as a Mothers day and Birthday gift. I intended to sell the Janome 6500P, but once I installed the Horizon in my sewing room I decided that it was never going to leave the room because of its size. Hence I have kept the 6500P to take to quilting retreats. My husband has been involved in the purchase of most of my machines, so I am most fortunate. I would love to upgrade my MC10000 to the New MC12000 Horizon.........maybe in a year or two's time. I sew most nights and some days. I have been sewing since I was a child, mostly clothing but Patchwork, quilting and machine embroidery open up a whole new world. With clothing choices and quality not to my liking I am finding that I am going back to making clothing for myself.

I am getting the upgrades for my Quattro for our coming wedding anniversary...45 years.

I also have a Bernina Overlocker and Babylock Evolve, both gifts from my husband.

I also have a Singer Treadle that is a treasured keepsake from my Grandmother who earnt a living dressing making on this machine after she was left widowed with three children.

I know several machines sound like an indulgance, but I wouldn't change not having them. They are all loved and well used. When my sisters vist they never need to bring a machine.

I have a HUS/VIK embroidery machine that is about 2 years old and cost over $7000. It was given to me as I never in all my dreams thought a machine cost that much or would bring myself to spend that much. But I LOVE IT! I make SO many gifts with it and dress up all my quilts. If I had the money, I would buy one! I have gotten so much enjoyment out of it, as well as those who have received my gifts made with it.

I couldn't quilt that well on it though, so when I saw a Bernina Virtuosa 160 for sale on line, I bought it used for $350 AND LOVE IT for quilting and piecing my quilts. I think it is about 13 years old, but you would never know just looking at it. I know Berninas are expensive too, but I will do whatever I have to to keep myself in a Bernina now. They have embroidery machines also. The Berninas that quilt and do embroidery have to be the kitties behind.

I have a Bernina 630E and 930. Love them both.

I have a Janome MC6600 which I love. Janome 300e embrodiery which I never use and am thinking of selling.
Bernina 830 which is a good machine that I really liked, last time I took it for repairs they said they had a
hard time finding parts for it.

I have a Janome HD3000 and love it! It does everything I need it to do so I don't need any other machines. That way I get to spend more money on fabric. ;)

I have a Janome 11000 Memory Craft and love it, plus a Janome 6600. Have the use of a Queen Quilter 18 for quilting. Maybe some day I will have my own quilting machine - but love what I have. Grace is being able to buy the machines with little or no interest!

I have Bernina 830, Babylock Elegante, Babylock Sophia, Brother Quattro, Bernina 180, Pfaff 5056, Bernina (forget the number), Viking number 1, Babylock Sergers (two), Viking Serger, Janome Silver, Singer Isaac, Featherweight,Singer T&S, Several Vintage machines(I think six) and a singer treadle.

I have a Singer 223 (purchased from a co-worker for $25 many years ago) which needs a new motor and weighs a flipping TON (especially hard on toes!). I purchased a brand new Kenmore computerized a couple of years ago, lot's of basic embroidery stiches, love it! And Last month, got myself a Husk/Viking Sapphire. Got home, unboxed and embroidered the Quilt Label. I did read the manual first, but was very proud of that label. Will be taking the free "get to know your machine" class next month at the store. I don't know yet how much I'll like it, but I love the space the more open throat gives me! I'm starting to Free-Motion quilt and the Kenmore and Singer were really difficult to maneuver fabric in! I was thinking of passing the Kenmore to my daughter, but I'm thinking she may get a good Singer for Christmas and I'll keep the Kenmore for "everyday" sewing! After the class, I may be more comfortable with the "fancy" machine! Now I just need to actually setup my craft room, with cabinets and tables to work on! Always something more to do. And something wonderful to dream about!

I own Babylock Espire, Babylock Enlighten serger, heavy duty Singer, Brother PE700ll. Sad thing is I hardly make the time to sew as much as I think I should -to justify the purchases. (after a 40 hour work week, just want to rest-maybe better when I retire)

I have a Bernina 200E, Bernina 440QE, Baby Lock Sashiko, black Featherweight, and white/green Featherweight. I use them all and wouldn't trade them for anything else.

I had a Janome 6600 which I just sold to my girlfriend because I went to the Houston Internal Quilt Festival and brought a Janome Horizons. i could pass up a great deal. They gave me a brand new one with a sewing table for only $2200.
I also have a Brothers, 1979 Kenmore sewing machine, a Babylock Serger and a jewel Long arm.

I have a Brother QC1000 and honestly I haven't used all the things it can do. It was my gift to myself when I came into a lump sum of money. And I love it. The rest went to pay off bills. I also have a few (6) vintage machines that I am just getting set up to use also. But honestly I am wondering how many machines I really need.
I guess if I have the room and the money I would like a mid arm or the long arm if I were going to do quilting for others.

I have a Viking Sapphire 875Q - love it and use it everyday. Have a FW - haven't used it yet - a Walmart Singer machine as a backup - would love to get a treadle - my mother in law had one and it sewed wonderfully.
Also, have a HQ Avante - wish I could quilt better on it. Thats all.

I have two older Kenmore machines, one from the late 1970's and one of the first computerized machines given to me from the early 1980's. A Singer featherweight from the early 1950's and a Singer Confidence 7470 which I love. Nothing fancy and I use all of them at some point depending on what kind of a project I am working on and where I am. At home I use my Kenmore's and featherweight and at my daughter's my Singer Confidence as it is portable and easy to store.

I have 3 machines. I love them all. They are all very EZ to use. My #1 favorite is my Baby Lock Ellisimo, it is expensive but so EZ to work. Then I have the Baby Lock Quilter Quest. I do most of my regular sewing on that one, it wasn't cheap either. The one I take to class is my Baby Lock Decorator's choice and that is one 10th of the price of the Ellisimo, love them all. I have had everything from White's, Singers, Elna, and Brother's and I feel I have the best for me right now. I can clean them all I know how to take the bobbin areas apart to do that. You just can't believe how much lint gets in the bobbin cases from all of the cotton fabric's we use today. Sewing Machines are like car's and it's all in what you like.

I saved for a Janome but found a Babylock Espire that was gently used. Have been very happy with that. also have a Kenmore and my mothers Kenmore. Don't use the Kenmores. They seem to be a little fussy about the tensions.
would love to have a long arm but my DH built a homemade version of one. Haven't used it yet. Guess that tells me how much I'd use a long arm.

Iwould love to have the new Baby loc,but I have so much in the invested in ,viking SE,designer 1,and several designs and hoops,the skyrocketing prices and going to keep a lot of us from buying anything,sooo i'll by happy with that I have. Ialso have a Bernina1630,a new home and a old furatura singer.
