I use my Purple Thang a lot! Did you notice they are an exact quarter inch wide??? Handy for a quick measure.

I fell for the binding tool. Ended up throwing it into the garbage. Better to strip and fold or buy packaged binding.

FREE Motion Slider,,,,My mom got me one a couple of years ago. You cant begin to tell when the bobbin is low,and that little hole in it was a pain. It tore after a couple of uses. Very high bux for a slip of junk,IMO.

I love my Alto Cut. I have a paralyzed Left hand and found being able to hold the fabric down under the bar and place my hand on ruler I can use rotary cutter to cut fabric. To keep ruler from sliding I put little grippee pieces on the bottom. It works for some but now that I have found the Accuquilt GO I am a happy camper. Some of the older quilters also don't like to change the way they have been doing things over years.

The brain of your computerized machine is in the upper part of it..there is nothing wrong with using a magnetic pin holder near your machine.

I bought a bag of chalk refil...loose chalk...and can't find a way to use it. Any ideas? Thanks

I bought a pair of Fiskar nippers, they do not cut worth a darn. When I am FMQ I do not want to have to think about holding the nippers just so to make them cut.

I tend to agree that a lot of notions you can do without, but if you have them try to use them before you pass them on to others. The pounce makes a mess in my opinion. The mechanical chalk pencils that Nancy Notions sells in pink, yellow, and gray are horrible - the chalk is so breakable you barely touch the fabric and the chalk breaks - but on the other hand I use the mechanical chalk pencil by Fons & Porter with ease and I can't do without it for marking where I do not want to use a regular pencil. Most thimbles have been a waste to me - when you find a favorite stick with it and don't keep buying more! I love the little tools for making bias vines and such by clover.
