The Storm at sea pattern. I swore when I finished, I would think hard about making anything with so many pieces.

Have you tried paperpiecing stained glass?

Not a quilt but I will never make a pair of blue jeans again. I made a pair for each on of my four children back in the 70's and the boys were through the knees (ages under ten) within a month. I went back to Sear's Tough Jeans. Does anyone remember those. I do like sewing with denim in quilts, bags, etc.

I will never make anything that someone else has cut out and then brought to me to put together. Once a lady bought some very expensive fabric for three valences and cut them as she thought they should be cut. Well, it nearly drove me crazy trying to make each one look the same because of the pattern. She didn't understand about making them match. What a job and I didn't charge nearly enough for my time and aggravation.

I just finished up a D9P that is queen size, thats one that I wont do again ...I felt like I was at the ironing board more than the sewing machine. I am going to LA it next week, bind it and will be glad to give it to my son for his BDay the 4TH.

I can't believe I found someone else who has that quilt sitting around. I bought EVERY block and it was very expensive. I did 1 block and it was just more than I could handle with the tiny pieces. I have taken it out maybe once a year since to think about it. My last thought is to just fuse the pieces down with a strong adhesive and at least it would be done. Please post the 6 you have, just maybe it will give me inspiration. HAS IT REALLY BEEN THAT LONG SINCE I BOUGHT IT. Talk about unfinished items.

Last year I would have said "anything Pam Bono" because I had a Baltimore Album that I started 7 yrs ago and hated it. Well, I just funished my second Pam Bono quilt called Flying Away and I love her quilts now. In fact I have 4 of her books and I'm trying to decide if I want to start another right after the holidays. Perseverence... you'll never know if something you hated before will become something you love.

I will never try another one of those Fun N' Done patterns. The worse quilt I ever made and gave it away to goodwill as soon as I was finished. Loved the fabric too.

Satin baby booties. Bound with satin. Once was enough!

Not me,I am trying to find some!

The 70's are definitely making a comeback! Macrame isn't hard, you could probably find a book at eh library. I made a macrame purse when I was a teen. I sat on the top bunk of our bed, pinned from the top of the wall as close to the ceiling as I could get. I worked my way down to the bottom bunk, then the floor. It was an awesome purse. Wish I still had it.

As for what I'll never make again, I haven't made much yet, so I'm just taking notes!

Never again will I make a quilt as you go. Much more labor intensive that regular quilting and also the finished quilt is not very cozy- too stiff because of all the thicker seams.
