Sewing through my finger (not once, not twice, but 3 times - fortunately not all at the same time.) It hurt, but not as bad as losing the brand new Schmetz needle I had just put in!

Lat November or so I bought a new 1/4" foot. Used it for about a month then didn't sew for a week or so around Christmas. Got back to sewing in January only to find out that my needle kept hitting on the foot. Had my father-in-law look at it and he thought he'd fixed it, only to find out it still kept hitting. Took it in to the dealer for servicing and $75 later I found out he'd sold me the wrong foot back in November. So "technically" my silly wasn't my fault...although I did pay for it! Oh well, the machine needed a good cleaning anyway!

Not all inclusive:
I ran my rotary cutter blade over the edge of the thumb that was holding the ruler tight. (Yep, 'my' thumb).
I have ran a needle into my nailbed.
I cleaned my machine, set the presser foot 'holder' (with presser foot attached) in place, thinking "I will screw that in when I get up and get my screwdriver". Didn't happen. It fell off in a few stitches and damaged the bobbin holder and I think it may have bent the presser foot holder.

I took that little square out and hand sewed the new one in. Can't even tell where it was now. And all the other things you have done, I've done most of them.

The first quilt I ever made was tied. I was snipping the ties to make them even and cut into the fabric. I was VERY lucky that I still had some of the fabric. I just took a bit and covered. Gave to Sis for Christmas that year. You cannot even see it. You must run your hand over it in order to find where it is. Whew!

And I use it all the time.

Just the other day I was machine embroidering a quilt label. What should have been, at the MOST, a 1/2 task became an ordeal. Had problems with the embroidery program doing what I wanted it to do and then it wouldn't send it to the machine without rebooting both the computer and the machine. Finally got that sucker to embroidery out and while I wasn't happy with it (it had puckered -- of course), I thought it would be okay. Then I went to cut the stabilizer from behind the lettering and what did I do? Yep, you guessed it! Cut a big hole in the label itself. Threw that sucker in the trash and went to bed
