The best tip I learned from this site is how to make smooth binding. Before this, my bindings came out bumpy. This is not the only tip as I've learned many others. But, my best one ever.

Even better, moisten your fingertips then pull the end of the thread through them, keeps the thread from getting too wet. I learned putting the thread in my mouth however from my mom over 60 years ago. :-D

Me too! I thought everyone did.

I saw on one of the quilt web sites that you should not moisten the thread and instead moisten the eye of the needle, which does seem to work!

Getting helpful information from the members and also the tutorials and the website that are posted that I would not have known about otherwise. Thanks for all your help big and small. I also love to see your quilts that are posted too.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. My good friend and I discuss ideas on this site several times a week, even tho we are interested in different types of projects and totally different color schemes. I also met a wonderful friend on this Board and write lengthy messages back and forth regularly. Hope to meet her this year. I am so blessed,

Would you explain to me what a leader or ender is....
I have heard the expression, but don't know what they
are or how they are used.
