My plan is to use all the christmas fabrics I've collected and get a head start on gifts for next year. Want to make napkin/placemat sets as seasonal pillowcases for the grandkids. Hopefully I will enjoy my holiday sewing when there is less pressure attached to it.

dewie45 12-19-2010 03:01 AM

Finish the Fun and Done I started before Thanksgiving. Work out my daughter's black and gold queen size pattern and finally get something done on it besides buying fabric.

ckcowl 12-19-2010 03:34 AM

i am (hopefully) finishing quilting the last quilt today i need to have done before friday...then i am looking forward! yea!!
i have a couple hand-piecing projects i plan to concentrate on this winter.
after i finish the quilt that is loaded we are 'tearing-down' the big machine so it can go in for servicing after the holidays...it has worked hard this year (it's been 2 years since i took it in so it is time. and while it is out we are going to paint the quilting room and do some re-arranging so, might as well be working on projects that take awhile
i am looking forward to a break from quilting and time to work on some new projects. it's so nice to sit looking at the snow while hand piecing something beautiful!

sc-sunshine 12-19-2010 05:12 AM

how do you get pictures on quilting fabric?

quilt3311 12-19-2010 05:23 AM

#1-Doing a 24" block to represent my county for a State Fair display.(March 1 deadline)
#2-Finish designing next years fund raiser quilt for our guild, getting fabric for that. (Feb. deadline)
#3-Finish making sample for club BOM quilt and getting monthly handouts prepared. (March deadline)
#4-Begin planning for annual retreat (I'm in charge this year, thankfully have 2 helpers)
#5-Prepare stuff for Pineapple class in March. Have supply list out, but still have to make a list of items I need to take)
#6- Get items rounded up for a dying class I'm taking in January.
It never ends. grin. May have to re-arrange a few of these as some I have well along and some not so far.

Probably make a new quilt for my bed. All mine are twin size and when I moved a got a full size (since I have a bedroom and a quilt room now) I also have some pet portraits to get started on. Some quilts to repair and one to finish up. I wanted it done by Christmas well maybe next year. lol

twospoiledhuskies 12-19-2010 06:10 AM

I have some Christmas gifts that got postponed or changed; so I am hoping to work on them and maybe be ready for next year. I am sure glad I started in early September; would have never gotten done. And I am going to try the large twister block, the easy 9 patch and easy HST.....and....and....and...

Deb watkins 12-19-2010 06:47 AM

I need to reorganize and clean my room. I have been so busy this year that Ihave several little piles and bigger piles of stuff that I had put 'just out of the way', that are now IN the way. Then to start working on my ufo's, many of which are (selfish) mine. On the Resolution question posted by another quilter, mine is to start working on making all of my 'bookmarks'.

merry 12-19-2010 07:23 AM

My first priority is to finish my cross stitch & embroidery wedding ring quilt. Then my spring wall hangings & bed quilt. Need to finish before garden time.

RUTH ANN MUNDY 12-19-2010 07:27 AM

I plan to make a jacket out of men's ties that I have been collecting for some time I will try to design it myself so this might be more of a project than I can handle

I'm really really looking forward to it! After christmas, I will re-organize my quilting corner and work on diminishing my scraps via string quilting. Then! Who Knows what Glorious creations await! I'm excited!

I am with you girl!
