No matter what I try, or how hard I try, my stuff never ever matches up perfectly. makes me seriously question why I keep at this!!!

Always comparing my work to my sister's. She was an accomplished quilter before Parkinson's got in the way. Because she is about 15 years older, I have been the 'little sister' trying to measure up all my life. Took me a long time to realize she was as hard on herself as anyone else. I just can't seem to get out of old habits.

My flaw! Starting quilts, then try & finding time to finish them, lol.

My flaw is making perfect flaws, I have a perfect seam ripper that rips out those perfect flaws!hehehhe!

Getting the top done, the quilt layered and then having it in a pile "forever" before I finally get in the mood to do the machine quilting. Then I quilt for a week and then do the bindings for a week, this is usually the last couple weeks before the annual quilt show.

I agree with that one. Like the old saying, I have visions of grandeur. My mind says I can do all those fantastic quilts, but in reality, I know they would never turn out like they are supposed to. I am a perfectionist and get quite upset when my points aren't perfect and those HST pinwheels?!?!?! Harumph!!!

my biggest flaw lately is spending more time on the qb than quilting. I am addicted to seeing what everyone else is doing. But if that is a flaw I am loving it.

I think my biggest flaw is just thinking I can do everything. Not knowing the word "no" when it comes to quilting projects has filled my studio with fabric and gadgets to last several lifetimes.

Not that I'm complaining... :)

My new year's goal is to FINISH one. I, too, can't wait to see what a new pattern is going to look like, put it up on the wall to admire, then find myself off to see what the next one will look like. If I promised to never start a new project until the old ones are finished, I won't begin another until 2012.

I one time forgot to pin the quilt top before quilting. The sad part was it was a quilt top my DD 14 made for one of her Sunday school teachers. I was finnishing up the quilting just before church and not till I was done did I realize the back was sewn and attached to itself with 2-4 inch folds all over. The top looked wonderful but the back is a real night mare. The lap quilt was for the teacher's birthday and DD was determined not to go without it. I figured I would explain to the teacher and then take it home to fix it. The teacher however did not want to let go and still has it. She says she doesn't care and loves it. It still bothers me and it has been more then several years this happened.
