My machine has a display that tells me how much percent of bobbin I have left. So as I sew I can judge how much is left and I never run out. It's a Bernina 820. I love this machine :)

my machine stops and says "bobbin thread is running out"
My machine does flash red bobbin and the percentage left when it starts getting low
They need to make machines with larger bobbins. Or the kind where you can use a regular spool in the bobbin compartment.
They do my Baby Lock Ellago will beep and bring up a message in the window bobbin thread is almost out....you can sew maybe another 3 to 4 inches but thats all...folks as it out by then....
My Baby lock lets me know when bobbin thread is running out and also if top thread breaks. Therefore i do not sew for several inches before realizing its out.
Although I haven't read though the entire thread but a lot of it.....many machines have for years had what they call the "low bobbin indicator". This obviously is different on various machines. Pfaff's have ared blinking light and you can get more sewing done even while it is blinking...as it does not stop the machine from sewing. After using your particular machine for awhile you just learn how much more you can sew before your bobbin is empty.
That said, a beeping noise would drive me crazy. |
My 20 year old Pfaff does... a little red light flashes. I love that feature
Both my Brother and Babylock ding at me, then show me this baby sad face that I need to change the bobbin..
