I'm in the process of making a queen sized log cabin quilt with all Moda fabrics (Kansas Troubles) to raffle off for a fundraiser.

This will be the only thing raffled off and I am wondering how much to charge per ticket. I know I have bought tickets in the past that were like $2/each or 3 for $5, but am wondering what others out there pay.

This is for a mission trip that my daughter is going on with a group of students from Liberty University. It is expensive and we need to make as much as possible.

Would you pay $5 for a quilt raffle ticket? I'm thinking we could do $5/each or 3 for $10. I know personally I would pay that much for a ticket on a quilt that I loved (and also for a cause that I supported), but don't want to set this price if it is a really bad idea.

Your thoughts?

If the cause was right, I would regardless of whether I really wanted the quilt or not LOL. I've frequently bought raffle tickets praying I DIDN'T win.

Yes I would, especially if I really loved the quilt. Good luck!

if the quilt is really spectacular and the cause is really good. like with mission trips what is the purpose and what will they accomplish who gets to go and stuff like that matter in the price. just my two cents.
I would consider getting one ticket just again it just depends on the reasons and the quilt.

In my area there are a lot of raffle quilts. I usually try to buy one ticket for each cause and yes, $5/ticket would be a little pricey for me.

I'm not sure I would spent $5 on a raffle ticket, but I'm sure some people would.

Have never paid that much for raffle tickets .... but with the type of
group you represent, and the beauty of your quilt, am sure you will
have alot of sales.

I think people would be more willing to buy tickets if they were a little cheaper say $3 each or 2/$5. I think you would actually make more money buy selling more ticket at a cheaper price. Make sure you tell people who don't know that this is quality fabric you have used. People don't understand what goes into a quilt.

I know I just bought 6/$5 from the sr. cit. ctr. It was beautiful with appliqued heart and echo quilting. The raffle hasn't gone off yet. I have bought chances from them for years, figure it's about my time.lol
