My husband shows NO interest in my quilts = once in a while i get a quiet unenthusiastic "that's nice". Can't win 'em all

Now, be nice. Does he fill the gas tank in the car? Mow and do the landscaping? Open tight fitting jar lids? :). Mine does.

Well, he does open jars, but then again he does not sew either, so bobbins are of no issue. I wish he did though.

Like a lot of you, I have the PERFECT husband. He cleans, cooks, mows the grass, etc. He wasn't interested in any of my sewing, but always compliments and takes pictures of my finished projects. I took him to Hancocks in Paducah, if you have been to that store you know that it is fabric end to end and more. He likes matching fabric there, not at the chain stores, just there. He even encourages me to buy more than I need. Blows my mind!

He doesn't mind my sewing and not doing all the house work. He does help with that. If I'm having trouble with a project my son even does the dishes for me. Good to have both around.

OMG! How wonderful for you. When I was married I couldn't even bring home plants in 2" pots that were 3/1.00 You are sooo lucky. Tell him everyday you love him.lol

I didn't know how to make bobbins when I started quilting, almost quit before I got started, lol. I CAN make bobbins now, after 12 yearsm (I am 70) so I was a late bloomer.

I am sooooo lucky, my husband likes to piece and has designed his own pattern for one of his quilts! But mostly he pieces with scrap.... he has a great eye for color also, so I always have him check when I think I have something that 'matches'! I am happy to wind his bobbins for him, although he can do it himself, I usually wind a bunch at a time from a neutral color and we use them for scrap piecing. He likes to help me to make donation quilts.... we get a lot more of them done when he pieces the tops and I quilt them!

I wish my honey would iron and cut the fabric-that would be awesome.

I'd fill the bobbin for my husband any day of the week if he'd sew! He puts the worms on the hook for me! Ewww! I still can't do that. My husband always tells me how much he likes every quilt I make. Every so often he asks if he can have one that I'm working on. Makes me feel good! He waits in the car while I look for fabric. He'll come in and check on me and visit with the owner and me and tells me to take my time. He bought me a very expensive sewing machine 2 1/2 years ago.

He just told me I could turn the dining room into my 2nd sewing room. My sewing room is bursting at the seams and he is very structured and for him to let me take over the dining room is a very big deal. It'll make our house look messy, but he said it's fine with him. Yippee!! He's a keeper for sure!
