okay so here goes.
>>i don't like to touch batting.<<     there i've said it. i think it feels creepy. i can hardly wait to get the sandwich secured to the point where i can apply the binding and trim off the excess batting so i don't have to touch it. then i will go back and do more quilting. am i the only person here who feels this way, or the only one who will admit it??? or maybe i really am a weirdo!!! :(   :? don't hate me because i'm strange. |
Mmmm ,all batting, or just certain kinds? You could use something else. flannel or buy inexpensive blankets.
I have a daughter who won't touch paper bags. She said they feel creepy :P |
There is some batting, that to me...it feels sticky. I don't like that stuff.
I think it feels weird too.
how about wearing either cloth or rubber gloves? And don't worry, between all of us, we could write a huge book on all our foibles and oddities...ahhahahahaa... :) :) :) my personal list is huge and could have a chapter all my own.
I won't make hamburgers, I hate the way it feels:)
My ex could not touch a peach. Loved to eat them, so guess who had to peel them..........
I'm with you, the only batting that doesn't bother me the way it feels is warm & natural cotton batting. Anything with polyester is really rough on my hands.
I don't have a problem with battings...but I hate the feel of rubber bands....YUCK
The cotton warm and natural feels okay to me. By the way, it goes by some other name now - don't recall what it is.
I agree that the polyester battings feel weird. The kind that is sort of smooth is okay, but the fibrous ones - it's nice to get them covered up. What are they called, anyway? |
