Inkjet printers deposit inks to print. These are droplets of liquid.
Laser printers essentially melt particles of toner on paper pressing it against a drum. This required significant heat.
You risk damage to fabric and permanent damage to a laser printer if you run fabric through it unless the owner's manual specifically states this is an acceptable media to print on.
