Queen Size Quilt Sandwich
#13
If you quilted this way, if the bobbin thread showed through on to the top, or the needle thread showed through on to the bottom it wouldn't be as noticeable as they would match the fabric on that side! Clever idea!!

I do like that idea of using the two colors of thread, but the blue in the needle for the top, and the green in the bobbin that will be on the bottom blue side. That sounds fun.
I may cut a few tiny sample pieces of all 3 parts of the sandwich, and try sewing and see how it is. I know it still is not like working with a big quilt, but I will still see what it looks/feels like.
I may leave the batting out. My son and daughter in law doesn't know how it goes or the work involved in the quilt, but I just want it to work out well and look nice.
Oh, I hadn't thought of the laundering with that much thickness either is one of you mentioned. Another thing to consider.
I look forward to my next quilt for me and my husband, and make it with some pretty piecing, and quilting.
I appreciate all of your input. It's nice to come here and exchange ideas.
