Question about CG Stripology ruler
I am considering this ruler but only if it can cut 2 3/4 inch strips. I know you can cut 1/4 inch increments by doing two cuts. I like to use 2 3/4 inch strips for my bindings, personal preference and if this ruler cannot cut these strips I am not interested. If you have this ruler maybe you can answer this for me. Thanks.

Other posters have already answered your question on how to do it, so yes, the Stripology will let you cut 2.75in strips easily. Basically, your first cuts are double width (5.5in), then you move the ruler 1/4in and make your second cuts. I have the ruler and LOVE it. I've never cut strips so quickly and accurately in my life.

You are somewhat mis-informed. You can cut any increment of strips. If one can count and do simple math..it can cut the strip width one needs. The ruler has cutting slots 1/2" apart.....and it has markings for 1/4" increments...just re-position the ruler after the initial cut. Also.....Check out the new Stripology Squared ruler for cutting and squaring blocks and cutting strips.

I also have this ruler and it is excellent. You can cut strips 2 3/4 inches and if you look at the instructions posted by tallchick, you will see the chart that shows exactly which lines to use to cut them.
The ruler is pricey but so worth it. I made a shadow box quilt and used it to cut the 'shadow" strips. Cut them all in about 15 minutes.
