I like American Patchwork & Quilting. Just wish they would let me subscribe to it here in Australia.

I do buy it from time to time at the newsagent and my lovely July doll quilt partner sent me a copy last month. It was the best treat ever.

I subscribe to a few, but Quiltmaker is my favorite. It always has really great quilt patterns, and has variations for different sizes for most of the patterns.

I also get American Patchwork & Quilting, and love it. And Fons & Porter, which my DH gifts me every Christmas. McCall's is also good.

quiltmaker is a fav, but when looking for specific patterns, i turn to mc calls quick quilts, and just quilt, and of course, quiltmaker for all the cool motifs. i do not like fons n porter, i guess maybe its personal preference, you asked, and i said..
thanks for listening,,

Hate paying for a magazine that I may or may not ever use one of the patterns. Free stuff is a lot better.

I love The Quilter. It's my all-time fave. I've done several patterns and they're marked Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced so you know what you're getting into. You can order back issues online and see which patterns are in which one, too. So you can look over all the goodies and pick out your project before you pay :)

Most of them have a hard time trying to provide new ideas at all levels on a regular basis. I generally only pick ones that have new(to me) techniques in them. However, I do find "The Quilter" consistently good.

I have over the years subscribed to all but QUILTMAKER is the only one I have not gotten bored with. I love their quilting design patterns which the other mags don't do. I like more than "Quilt as desired."
