Quilt pattern ideas for adult son?
#22
You might pm Eddie. He is a member of our group. He also does wonderful work. He might have some good ideas. He is both a classy quilter and a man.
Yesterday, I heard a gentleman say his mother made him a sunflower quilt because she thought he was the sunshine of her life.
You might go to your favorite fabric shop and ask about what other customers do for the male people in our families.

Thanks so much, for all the ideas!!!
DaisyBoo, I love that pattern you posted the link for!
I went up today and got the material for Gentleman's Fancy. Am now wishing I would have looked closer at the pattern..... Is almost all little triangles! lol!!! Am going to have to watch my seams, and am glad his birthday isn't until the 25th! lol!!! But I've got a ton cut, so now just have to piece them. :D
And Ghostrider, you could always move back..... We could have some fun!! :D :D

I made both my sons and my husband quilts using the card trick block.
I mixed the fabrics among the 3 quilts such that each one had at least one from the other two quilts. Sort of "connected" all of them. None of the three of them will let anyone else "snuggle" with Mom's quilt.
Now, I have to make one for my son's fiancee...will incorporate scraps from my son's quilt into hers. :-)

Just think, your son's not just getting a 'nice' quilt, he's getting a 'fancy' one! He'll love it, I'm sure of that! I've used that block, along with 'Ladies Delight' and some others in a bridal shower quilt for a friend. It's not so bad, just takes some concentration is all. You'll do just fine!
