Enjoy your day together. You never know what you will find till you get there. Your DH may find something he likes also.

Happy Birthday!!!! I think I would find a pattern I was in love with, and get EVERYTHING I needed for that one quilt. The piecing, thread, batting and backing. Or maybe some stash building ( i need some neutrals) or Maybe some wow sashings, even a new cutting board would be nice in my sewing room. There is no end to what you might decide on. Just have fun and go for it.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :-P

My thought was get fabric that you fall in love with or speaks to your heart in some way. But I like this idea of getting everything you need to make what you want with it. Pattern or a BOOK with the pattern in it. And since you want to quilt in your p.j.s maybe a wish for getting snowed in and shopping later to make your joyful celebration last even longer. It will also give you some time to think about possibilities.

What a sweet DH. He truly is trying to please you. He's a keeper. Have fun and let him spoil you - you can always sew alone, but how often can he totally cater to your quilt shopping... Do yourself a favor, let him help you shop. He may surprise you with some great fabric that you may not have been automatically drawn to.

    Happy birthday! Enjoy your day!!

I would gladly accept the invitation for a shopping spree. My hubby would be the one to patiently wait in a chair near the front door while I was checking out after he held all the bolts I had selected. I always select more fabric when hubby is with me. No arguments there!
