    "Well done is well done." is what a friend who is a certified judge told me. A well done simpler quilt would place better than a poorly done elaborate quilt.

    I've seen ribbons pinned on quilts at lots of shows, but hopefully not on miniatures - you wouldn't be able to see the quilt, LOL.

    I agree, well done stitching in the ditch is better than sloppy fancy quilting.
