Are there any quilt shows online that you don't have to pay for?

The Quilt Show http://www.thequiltshow.com/, hosted by Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson, is really a great buy for the money. It's around $25 for a 6 month subscription, which is cheaper than even one class with one of the guests would cost you.
The show aren't free to produce. They cost money. Somebody is funding the production, whether it be an obvious commercial venture or not.
I think the TQS is great value for the money and I really like what they're trying to do. I know there are other similar ventures out there, also charging nominal fees. NAYY
You could always go to youtube and do a search on quilt or quilting. That will bring up a ton of videos.
Free.
