Anyone know where I can shop for one of those beautiful quilt trunks that has glass where you can see through to the quilts that are stored inside?

I googled it a while back and it seems that Penny's had some too.

Here's a link to the one pictured on this board:

I Googled "quilt display chest" and found several. Here is the one at Penney's:

Here's a few places:

Quilt Curio Case, glass front: http://quiltcurio.tripod.com/id2.html

How about JC Penny (clearance $180, for plain one): http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?...0Quilt%20Chest

check quilt shoppes. A lot of times, I see them built by a local craftsperson. Also, there will almost always be a seller of such things at quilt shows...

good luck!

It wouldn't surprise me if you don't find one at the Dallas Quilt Show. I've seen them in the past at Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston.

Don't know if your hubby (friend or relative maybe?)is into wood working or finish carpentry, but this would be a relatively easy build. Curved glass top could be done flat and it would be pretty simple! My husband has been put on notice.

I was very surprised at the dimensions. Thought it would be much bigger!
