So I've finished another quilt top...this one is for me! I have the most wonderful fleece that I want to use as the backing. I'm thinking that I will hand-tie it as something new to try and I know it will be easier with the 2 layers (no batting because of the fleece!)

So, here is my question....how do you finish a piece like this? Use a regular binding or fold the backing and stitch it? I just don't know...

Thanks!
Ayla

Either way. I have done both. I prefer the regular binding but there is no right or wrong:)

As long as it was for me, I would just stitch right sides together and turn it. Then stitch along the edges. I think binding would be hard with fleece, but then I've never done it.

either way is acceptable- if you like the look of the minky showing on the front go for that for an added (design feature)
if you really don't like that after all- well- looks like traditional will be the ticket :)

in other words...hey it's your quilt- do it your way!
