Fabric Stash...buying fabric...You can imagine my stash since we have two homes and I have to have 2 of everything so when I'm in each I'll have the fabric I need. You never stop buying even if you don't have a project in mind...it's just a fabric you love and have to have for the future. And it's strange how when you start a project you just never have the right backing or binding to finish it off and have to go shopping again...I guess it's just a quilter's life....

You've been quilting for a year. You've completed 15 quilts with another 10 in the works. And you're worried about having a fabric addiction?
I started quilting 5 years ago, and it took me 3 1/2 years to finish my first quilt. Which if you want to get technical is still not finished because I haven't sewn the binding down. Though in my defense I didn't own a sewing machine for the first year and a half I was working on it and my teacher lived more than an hour away from me and had small children so lessons were sporadic at best.
But I digress...
Honestly...I think at the rate you're going you might not be buying fabric fast enough.

You are way ahead of me, I started to quilt in August 2009 and well I have only made 1 wall hanging so far. But I did participate in 2 swaps and 3 monthly swaps, So I have made many blocks. Does that count? lol!
I have a maigor fabric addiction but I seam to spend way to much money on it without noticing and honestly I don't even see a whole lot of fabric for the price I spent. yikes! :( I have only been working since August so I have been spending as I have been recieving my pay cheques. :( I need to really cut back on my spending (I could have bought the embroidery machine I want already) if I would have not spent so much on fabrics lately. Oh well I will learn from this I hope?
HUGS! :0

WOW! You are doing great. The one word I love is "DONE". When a quilt is finished it feels great - also like
a burden is taken off my shoulders.
A lot of my quilts have deadlines. But it's tough to give away a quilt and "let go"
after it has become part of me with all the sewing and quilting and planning.
I use 2 timers. One goes off and I hear it but just have to finish something and then when the second one goes off a few minutes later I kow I better get going.
I sew at night around 2. It feels like it's "extra" time.
When I want to subdue the addition, I put sheets over my two open machines that are in cabinets and try to stay away.
The problem is that the family computer and ironing board used daily is in that room too.
Well that's all the confession for now. Hubby just got home, got to go.
