OK, I thought my pictures showed up earlier. When I click on the Attachment number, my picture pops up. What am I doing wrong? Would love to share them with you all

I tried again to post my pictures and I must be doing something wrong. When I click on the part that says "Attachment #" the pics pop up. I went to the spot that says how to post pictures, and I thought I was following directions correctly. Any suggestions? I'd love to share.

Yes! I am able to see the photos now in the thread (and I don't have to click on anything)! Gorgeous!!!

Whoops! Initially I read 'Quilting with satan.' Ha ha ha! I think quilting with satin will be easier!!!

Too funny. I read it that way initially too! Did a double-take and reread it a little more slowly. (big sigh of relief)

I am a seamstress for a bridal shop. You have to pin the fabrics together about evey 2 inches when working with satin. It helps control the slippery fabric better. Also a walking foot helps or IDT for us Pfaff owners. You can serge or zig zag the seam allowances to control raveling. Lots of satins are washable now and with the proper seam finish, they wash very well.

I worked many years in a bridal shop, and now work independent. I have made hundreds of gowns with satin. Test wash the satin by cutting a section 10x10 inches. Wash in a lingerie bag, dry on low temp and re measure. Adjust for any shrinking. Instead of 1/4 inch seams allow 1/2 inch. My niece recently married and I made 7 satin bridesmaids gowns and 2 flower girl dresses. I am making a small quilt from the remaining fabric to give to the couple for their first anniversary. I personally have not had any problems, but I feel for those who struggle. Good luck, and take joy in the fact your husband takes an interest in your hobby.

Search on amazon for ...how to make a satin quilt. There are books and some instruction there'll so. If you pin I suggest you use new pins scratchy pins will damage the fabric. Thin silk pins.
