Absolutely beautiful. Definitely an inspiration for me. Love butterflies and have not done anything with black yet. That's going on my must do list for sure.

I don't know what she called it but..if you look at it..it's 4 court house steps(log Cabins)5 plain black blocks..it's the applique that makes it look so outstanding !!

Yes..put black on your list..it's my signature color..as a matter of fact..I work hard to get though one when there is no black..lol..!!

It is gorgeous and looks like it would blend in perfectly with your avatar. All of it is just so shimmery - - makes me wonder if it is all embroidery or are the surrounding blocks pieced with "shimmery" fabric?

Those surrounding blocks are what I really like. I don't recall ever seeing that particular block but it would be easy to replicate.

Opps - I see that you added a comment as I was writing mine. Are the 4 blocks courthouse steps (log cabin) blocks??? Similar maybe with a little modification???
