I don't find it ugly at all. I agree a dark rose border would soften the look and make a lovely quilt for someone. I agree with Kat and Pat625; what others find ugly, someone else might find lovely.

ht they would be beautiful together . . . what was I thinking?!?! Was I just blind or does this happen to others, too. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? I can post a photo of it if necessary. Maybe there's someone out there who will love it, but I can't help but think this will be my first UFO.

Don't kick yourself too much!!!! I did a drunkards path in rainbow colors. Lovely piecing, lovely quilting. the colors are just TOO MUCH together...Too busy..a ten on the barf-o-meter...I hate it....I think perhaps the colors you used were too much in the same line, i.e., middle tones... I would either do what Jan in Va suggests, or if you don't want to rip it apart, finish it quickly, and donate it to any number of wonderful charities...You are nOT ALONE...

Pretty fabrics...What I would have done is sashed all the blocks, half with the pink background floral, the others with the white background floral...then joined them. Also...the floral focal fabric...I would have fussycut it.
If you really can't handle keeping the quilt...finish it and donate it to a nursing home.
