Then I would try a sample adding the seam allowance. You can always cut it down.

If the pattern says to cut a certian size then the seam allowances should already be figured in the measurements. Hope this helps. LuAnn

If the directions say cut them 1 1/2" x 2 1/2", sounds like the finished rectangles should be 1" by 2". Make a sample first but IMO the seam allowance is included in the cutting directions.
