I am voting for the red. It shows off your work much better. It is going to be a cute quilt!

Either color works for different reasons as you have read in the previous posts. I lean towards the blue because your blocks are outdoor scenes and the blue reminds me of the sky. Lovely applique!

I think red is the better choice.

I like the blue with crocodiles swimming in the blue. I also like your socks.

Can you back it off a bit or find a small patterned fabric that let's your work be the focus?
I love the red narrow frame also. But, with having so much solid in that beautiful applique, I think that would showcase it using some type of animal print pattern with those solid colors. Love it.

I like the red, or the narrow frame. The blue lets the crocodiles escape, and puts the other animals in danger!

I love the red, makes it pop. The red made me smile, the blue was blah, whatever.

I'm gonna vote 2, or even 3 sashings. Two narrow, one wide.

Red frame for sure, make it medium width. Then a narrow border..dark green or brown, maybe a dark blue? That'll calm down the red a bit. Then a wide outer border...in a red tone on tone, or red something anyway.

Have fun! I agree about applique...hate it, hate it, hate it. I don't have the patience for it.

Red shows off your applique work more than the blue does and is more gender neutral than blue. Blue isn't bad but I think your work should be front and center so individual blocks are looked at instead of seeing the quilt as one blue unit. Babies see red and black first anyway so for the baby, red is a good choice, too.

Also, the quilt is precious! Your applique is very well done. Love the Olaf nightclothes, too!
