RED TAG SALE Joann Fabric's
#33
I'm leaving early in the morning to go to a quilt stash sale 30 minutes away. I pass a Joann's and will probably stop by there on my way back! I went last year to the stash sale and thought I had gone to quilt haven! A member of my quilt guild puts it on every year and last year I actually felt like I was going to hyperventillate. Most quilt fabrics were $3 per yard, nicely packaged in plastic bags. She has quilt fabrics, notions, laces, machines, all kinds of goodies so I'm taking cash and LIMITING my spending! Pray for me!

Just to save anyone the travel time to Joann's at 249/1960 (Houston) - I was there Thursday - the only cotton they had on the Red Tag sale were 4 bolts - 2 of which where brownish colors baby prints. :(
Maybe the one on 45N near The Woodlands Mall has a better selection?

I hit the red tag sale last Sunday. My receipt says I spent $96.61 annd saved $105.56. I got some great fabrics- I always keep an eye out for fabrics I could use as quilt backings- no need to pay $10 a yard when you can do a red tag sale for so much less. Not all of the Joann stores in my area have the same items in the red tag section. I have actually gone to a number of the stores and checked them out. Some tend to have more dress fabric, special occassion fabric or quilt fabric. I suppose it depends on what cutomers are looking for. Now when I am looking for red tag quilt fabric- I know which store to go to. I had at least $100 worth of fun just shopping!!!!

I did pickup some nice juvenile prints from clearance for my NICU quilts... at that price, I can make a few extras... forgot polybatt for my playing with my new machine frame... darn, gotta go back tomorrow...
