Oh wow! I love that. It was one of your first projects? I still don't think I could do applique that well. But what matters is your friend loved it, right?

Please don't take their offensive message to heart. I've been quilting for years, seen tons of quilts as well, and I think this is one of the cutest quilts I've laid my old eyes on!

Keep up the beautiful work! Tell those judges if they want "flow" to go to the river they should see plenty there!
I agree wholeheartedly (spelling I think is wrong) Anyways, I love it! I think it is very charming and fun! What a wonderful quilt for a birthday, oh... and LOVE the calories of that cake!!

That is an awesome quilt - Person that told you it didn't flow must have been very nearsighted - as well is dumb.

I think the cake is just too cute with those "Sugar Daddy" candles. Your friend will be glad to get it!

Are you kidding me? I mean, that cake looks good enough to eat! The judges obviously have no taste (no pun intended) and are visually challenged.

Looks great to me. Those judges are old sticks in the mud. Ignore them. Besides, there are no quilt police, so who do they think they are?

you guys are too kind...I didn't know what in the heck they were talking about, I need to find that paper again and reread it. I just remember that it said "it didn't flow".
    Thanks again all.

I LOVE your quilt. How mean and hurtful to be rejected from a fair because "it doesn't flow". I think it's just plain mean. I'm so sad this happened to you.
    Hugs,

By WHOSE standards it doesn't flow??? It looks pretty "flowy" to me. Maybe the judges had some idee fixe in mind they couldn't get past. Or are quilt show judges just Quilt Police in training? I think you did a super job, and that you're very creative, and that your friend will LOVE it!
