Could be because you had your name on the quilt. Here , at the Santa Cruz County Fair , a work ( like a picture) is rejected if it has the maker's signature on it .
This is in case one of the judges knows the creator of the work of art and favors that person .

Whatever the reason. it is a real fun quilt!!!

It is beautiful. Some judges have no idea what they are talking about. They are like movie critics, take it with a grain of salt, because I think it is absolutely gorgeous! :D

A quilt can also be rejected or be undisqualified because it was entered in the wrong class. it is the responsibility of of the entrant to put their quilts in the correct category. If you mis-enter- to bad -they do not "correct" the entry.
I few years ago i entered a quilt in "machine emb. " but the judges considered it"machine quilted". it was not considered for judging because they felt i had entered it in the wrong class. disappointing? yes, but it was ultimately MY responsibility to see it was entered correctly.
when you enter a competition you are asking for not only your work to be judged but be compared to similar work. If you're going to be offended by comments from the judges-don't enter. It's not a personnal attack.

I think it's sweet. Why do you want a cake to flow? I put toothpicks in my cakes so they can't flow.
