Remove chalk markings?

or else try Spot Shot carpet cleaner--no fooling, this stuff is miraculous and seemingly works on a variety of media. Recently marked about 6 inches of a quilting pattern on my quilt top before realizing I was using a Pentel pen rather than the blue water soluble marker--took out the ink markings in nano seconds...

I use a mechanical pencil to put on markings for hand quilting. I have found that Lestoil applied with a toothbrush or Q-tip works well at getting the markings out. Might consider giving it a try.

Did you keep the packaging? I have 2 different marking pencils, one says if you iron it, it will become permanent. The other one says do not get wet.
I recommend not doing anything until you track down which product you used and find the manufacturer's recommendation for how to remove the markings.
