I have a treasured piece of woven blanket (not a quilt...but treasured just the same)...Anyway, I'm one of many cousins who received a bit of this woven blanket that was a wedding gift for our grandmother. It is simply framed and there is an inscription underneath.

Also... I have a Santa who stands about 18" tall and his coat and hood are from a "retired" quilt. He was simply bought by my mother as a gift for me... I've often thought it was a good idea for repurposing a quilt.

I must add, however...that you have a tough decision to make. Your quilt is really beautiful and might just be perfect for a special display spot in your home... I don't envy your decision! But have confidence in whatever you decide!!
