Oh, no. Wouldn't that make a person sick? How long before you spoke to him again?

Great day for you-you will think about it every time you get to use some of this haul in a project.

Last summer I destashed my fabric stash and sent 7 large trash bags full of fabrics I didn't care for any longer including dress fabrics. Never saw any of it on the shelves. I did find 3 of my dress fabrics at another thrift shop associated with this one about 4 months later. Also fixed up 3 bags full of good sized scraps........never saw them either. From time to time I've picked up dress fabrics from my thrift shop but I don't really need any these days. Good haul for you though.

Donated items are often sent from one thrift to the other, of the same brand name.

Howeverrrrrrrrrr ........ volunteer worked are shoppers too, getting first chance at the new items.
It's not uncommon for items to be set aside for a volunteer(s) with specific interests,
to check when they are next in the store, before being put out to the general public.

You are right about the right time, right place. It is very hit or miss, depending on who donates what. I used to have a circuit of thrift stores I made on Fridays, but we moved and I don't do much of that anymore. I got lots of nifty things.
