Up North, that is so funny! I just made a road trip to Pontiac for my nephew's wedding. It was 700 miles one way from our home, across WI, UP, and down LP with DH, DS and DBiL and DB and me in our van. Quick down and back trip so no time to stop. But I appreciate hearing about the Ben Franklin in Gaylord for future reference.

I was in the UP this past week, was in Gaylord as well and crossing the bridge myself! I hit the fabric store in Paradise MI, which is also the blueberry capital (or so it says). Took a side trip to Grand Marsais and also hunted for jasper and other lake shore stones.....

I don't live all that far from Gaylord so maybe one of these days I'll go for a ride. Thanks for the info. All of the Ben Franklins that I knew about before have all closed so this will be nice
