I like both. The real question is how big do you want it? If it neds to be larger, then sash it.

For me the decision to sash or not to sash would depend on which of my children I would be making it for. The look of the sashing - that would definitely be for my daughter. It looks more organized and precise. Whereas the one without sashing as a more wild look to it - definitely my middle son.

And I agree - the look of both of them is great! Have fun! :D

Both look great, if you need it bigger then sashing is the way to go...

I like it both ways! Sash will make quilt a little bit bigger than w/o though.
