On a scale of 1-3, how serious are you? JUST FOR FUN!

I'm a 2 for sure. Sometimes follow a pattern but mostly just use them as an inspiration, and sometimes just make something rom nothing. I want to make the quilt as accurate as I can to make it easier to piece and quilt,. I correct obvious mistakes but if I know there's something that needs fixing and I have to spend a lot of time trying to find it again, then it's probably not worth fixing.

I am a 2 who wants to please a best friend who is a 1. If I try to get away with something, I think WWKD. What would Karen do and I end up fixing it. I have made some awesome quilts that would not have been that fine had I not had her as a friend and mentor. The funny part is that I started her on quilting. Who knew that she would end up being the quilt police?

I'm a number 2 most of the time, sometimes a number 1 and never a number 3. Quilting is suppose to make us happy and relaxed, I try to keep that in mind when I'm using the seam ripper on the same seam for the third time.

I belong to other forums, and I think some are so much more serious than this one. This board is is more relax if I may give my opinion. I don't think there are many quilt police here. So I thought on a scale of 1-3, maybe we can see if I am right.
1. very serious, no mistakes allowed
2. Like to do the best I can on quilting but I can live with a mistake or two
3. whatever, I can't find the floor but I found enough scraps to start a quilt.

I guess I am a #2 for the most part but lean seriously toward #1... I will rip and re rip if I have to... for me if I know I can do it better then I have to try... but 3 times is pretty much my limit... then I will decide to live with the imperfection ... chock it up to still learning... those to whom these quilts go to will never care... I'm my own quilt policeman... but do not judge others... to each his own.. I love the piecing and creativity ... and look at some of what I've done and say to myself ..."did I do that?" and smile

I am definitely a number 2. My motto is: If a man on a galloping horse can't see it; don't rip it out. I also agree with you about this web site. I like it but it sometimes seems that there are too many topics, in the Main Topic list, that really don't belong there. I hope I do not offend anyone with my honesty.
