Scallop Scissors.

Scallop Scissors.
I'm looking for scissors that are for fabric cutting in the shape of scallops... The size of the scallops would be about 3/4 to 1 inch long. Does anyone know where they can be purchased??

If you are cutting fabric that has been fused for applique, or really really heavily starched, you might try a pair of Fiskars Paper Edgers "Clouds" pattern. They no longer make them, but you can find them on ebay, for instance:

I measured mine and the scallops are just over a half inch. They are for paper and are not happy to cut regular cotton because they are designed for something stiffer. The only scalloped fabric shears I've seen have scallops the size of regular pinking shears, like these.

The Wilton scissors that come up in the link in the previous post are to cut fondant for cake decorating.

If you find the scissors that you need, make sure they will cut fabric. The only ones I have seen are for scrapbooking and won't cut fabric. You could make your own with something the size circle you need, but I think it would be very labor intensive to cut with scissors.

There seems to be several scissors like this for paper, but what I'm looking for is for fabric. Someone came into a LQS with a flannel baby blanket and the edges had been cut with scalloped scissors... The lady had bought the blanket at a shop somewhere in Virginia I think.. The flannel was so evenly cut and beautiful.

I'm wondering, if the blanket was purchased from the shop that way, if it was commercially manufactured. Meaning, machines die-cut the blankets out in mass quantities. I've never seen scalloped scissors for fabric, only paper.
You know who here would know? Scissor Queen! lol.
