I agree with the Ginghers's but I also know that Easy Kut makes a spring action scissor with a curved blade for easier cutting and they also have foam grips. Very sharp.

I have a pair of the 4 inch Elan that I use to cut out fusible applique shapes. They're serrated and cut down on edge fraying.

Those Havel's can get into all the right places and being a "squeeze and snip" action scissor, they are super easy on the old hands!

Karen Kay Buckley has the best scissors. They are micro-serrated which means that it grabs the fabric instead of pushing away as you are cutting. Karen is an accomplished applique quilter. I'm not good at computers but she has a blog and online store.

I have a pair of the small fiskars spring action scissors with very sharp, small tips. I even use them as a seam ripper. Get them at Joann's when they are 50% off or when you have a coupon, and you can get them for under $10.
